Terms of Use

1. Overview

These Terms of Use govern your purchase and use of AI Chat Agent software ("the Software") sold by the creator via Lemon Squeezy as the Merchant of Record. By purchasing or using the Software, you agree to these terms.

2. License Grant

Upon purchase, you receive a non-exclusive, worldwide Regular License to use the Software, subject to the terms below. An Extended License is available separately for buyers who wish to resell the Software itself as a product.

Under the Regular License, you may:

• Install and run unlimited instances of the Software on servers you control.
• Deploy and operate the Software to power chatbots for your own business, including chatbots you host and operate on behalf of paying clients (agency and managed-service use is explicitly permitted).
• Create unlimited bots within your instance, each serving a different end client.
• White-label the Software: replace branding, logo, colors, domain, and UI styling. No attribution required.
• Modify the source code for your own deployments.
• Charge your end clients for access to chatbots you host and operate using the Software.

Under the Regular License, you may not:

• Redistribute, resell, sublicense, or transfer the Software's source code to third parties.
• Package the Software as a downloadable or installable product for others.
• Publish the source code in public repositories or file shares.

Extended License — required only if you want to resell the Software itself (source code, installable package, or SaaS where the Software is the product being sold rather than the chatbot service). Contact support@getagent.chat for pricing and availability.

Summary: operating hosted chatbots for paying clients using your own instance of the Software is permitted under the Regular License. Redistributing the source code is not.

3. Payment & Merchant of Record

All purchases are processed by Lemon Squeezy (Lemonsqueezy, Inc.), acting as the Merchant of Record. Payment terms, VAT, and billing are governed by Lemon Squeezy's checkout. The product creator is not the legal seller for payment purposes.

4. Refund Policy

We offer a 30-day money-back guarantee from the date of purchase. If the Software does not meet your needs for any reason, email support@getagent.chat within 30 days and we will process a full refund through Lemon Squeezy. No questions asked.

Refund requests submitted after the 30-day window will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis, typically for cases where the Software is materially different from its description or contains a critical, reproducible defect that cannot be resolved within a reasonable time.

EU consumers retain statutory rights under applicable EU consumer protection law.

5. Updates & Support

Your purchase includes free lifetime updates for the Software — new features, security patches, and bug fixes are delivered through your account for as long as the product is actively maintained. There is no recurring fee and no support window that gates access to updates.

Email support is provided at support@getagent.chat. We aim to respond to support requests within 2 business days. Any priority SLA or onboarding assistance, where offered, is defined at the point of sale.

6. Prohibited Uses

You may not use the Software to:

• Redistribute the Software's source code, or package it as an installable or downloadable product for third parties, without an Extended License (see §2).
• Generate, distribute, or facilitate illegal content.
• Violate any applicable laws or third-party rights.
• Reverse-engineer the Software for the purpose of redistribution or circumventing these terms.

Note: white-labeling the Software and offering chatbot services to paying clients under your own brand is not a prohibited use — it is explicitly permitted under §2.

7. Third-Party Services

The Software integrates with third-party AI providers (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google Gemini, etc.). Your use of those services is subject to their respective terms and billing. The creator is not responsible for costs, availability, or policy changes of third-party AI providers.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Software is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. We do not guarantee that the Software will be error-free, uninterrupted, or suitable for any particular purpose. Use is at your own risk.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the creator shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Software, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. Total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Software.

10. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to update these terms. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Software after changes constitutes acceptance.
